A few weeks ago Phil Bradley posted about a seach engine he had found and liked. I decided to explore – DuckDuckgo.com is a great little searchengine. I have used it to search for info for the students, for curriculum subjects and personally. It has a really neat layout, the adverts etc are not intrusive and the returns have been reliable and accurate – what more could you ask.
My other ‘find’ has been to start reading the Woman in Black. A dreadful omission on my part not to have read it before. With all the publicity over the film version I thought it needed investigation. IF I go to see the film I would rather have read the book before, on the basis that the book will be better (as usual) but I can get my own view of the story. So far, so good.
I have also ordered a copy of The Reader, another book/ film that I read a review about on a book review blog. (This might be a good way to discover new titles).
